Alternative Fuel Projects Given 80 Million Pound Boost

Fuel cell vans and hybrid buses are just the latest projects to receive funding from the UK’s special fund for innovative green technologies. 32.8 Million Pounds have been allocated so far for public transit research and development, and the results so far have not been disappointing. The Advanced Propulsion Center, backed by the UK Government and the country’s automotive industry, is behind the grants.

Cascadiant has expanded its agreement with BPPT , the Indonesian Agency For the Assessment and Application of Technology. Their goal is to expand Indonesia’s research and development into alternative energy sources to replace the currently 25,000 diesel generators being used throughout the country. Indonesia has many unique and delicate ecosystems in its islands, and their diesel generators currently produce the equivalent of 20 million cars worth of CO2 per year. Green energy is the way of the future.
